Application To Join NRAC

You are welcome to apply for membership in the TCOG Natural Resources Advisory Committee.  The makeup of the Committee follows State regulations [30 TAC 330.639(a)], which in part states, "... members who represent a broad range of interests, including a representative of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, public officials, private operators, citizen groups, and interested individuals."  Members are approved by the TCOG Governing Body for three-year terms, or until they become ineligible as described in the Committee Bylaws.  Normally, several vacancies occur annually.  If there are no current vacancies on the Committee, your application will be retained and included in the selection process for a period of 12 months after its being received. Members serve without pay and usually absorb their own expenses, except for occasional out-of-region travel.

Please note on the application form below that the NRAC normally meets the second Tuesday of each month at 4:30 p.m., at a place designated by the NRAC Chair (usually in Sherman).  To apply, just complete the form below and click on the "Submit Application" button at the end. Or, if you prefer, you may mail your completed application to "Texoma Council of Governments; NRAC Membership Application; 1117 Gallagher Drive, Sherman, TX 75090."  Questions about NRAC membership may be submitted to jburnett@texoma.cog.tx.us.
